    New Graham Coxon signature Tele

It was probably only a matter of time before they brought this out... We've had James Burton, Jerry Donahue models, etc but for me it was Coxon who turned me onto Teles, among others.

Apparently it's gonna sell for £720 in English money, so I'm guessing it's Mexican-made. With the humbucker in the neck and the rosewood 'board, it reminds me of this guitar, abelt with a different pickguard:

    It's a European only release isn't it?

It would have to be, otherwise it's a signature model for "that guy who played in that Brit-Pop band that did that "Woo-Hoo" song back in the '90s."

Looks interesting. Not my fave colour choice but I could definitely live with it at that price.

Unfortunately. Blur were an amazing band, way more to them than that song.

To you maybe. There are plenty of people here who know just who Graham Coxon is. Far more than those that know about Jim Campilongo for example.

exactly. i've worshiped coxon for well over a decade; way more than hendrix or SRV, etc. campilongo, while awesome is a new find for me. coxon is a god in the UK, but most younger rock fans know exactly who he is.

Hmmm..... nice idea to give him a sig. model, but his most well known Tele sound was always a 52RI; not the neck 'bucker Tele.

Nice looking axe, Blur were my fave band growing up too & since I got into guitars properly Coxon has always been a favourite of mine. Always much preferred them to Oasis, which was the big war in the 90s! Seen them a load of times throughout the 90s. Alot of his solo stuff is excellent too...
Was meant to see them a couple of years ago at T in the Park music festival....unfortunately I had just gotten over swine flu and came down with the worst case of tonsilitis ever so ended up heading home on the Saturday night (Blur were playing Sunday headlining), with the plan to head back up to see Blur after a trip to my Doctors for medication. Never happened though! Gutted & just hope they tour again (fingers crossed on a new album too)

Glad Mr Coxon has a sig model - well deserved.

I wish it looked a little more like the model in that pic of him playing above.

It looks a lot like my Deluxe Nashville , but with a HB - and the middle pup removed.
(well it did before I put an off-white 'guard on the Nashville and resigned that poopy brown coloured tort 'guard to the naughty drawer)

I'm not knocking him. Great, inventive player (have always loved the riff in 'There's No Other Way') but a sig. model here in North America might be an odd choice.

I'm a big fan of Graham Coxon...he deserves a sig guitar. Not sure about the pickguard though! I'd be tempted to get one if I didn't have four teles already!

I like him too but what is that guitar all about ? A Tele with a S.D. in the neck position........could be a signature Tele for 100,000 guys.
