Sometimes I'll drag out the Bluegrass cannon (my old Stelling archtop) and go thru my Scruggs rep at full boogie. When we had a piano, I'd put a brick on the sustain pedal and let it ring along.

Sometimes it is the Viola sans mute.

Both rate high on the annoy-Miz-Diane factor. When the workshop is done, I'll be able to crank it all up without bothering her or the neighborhood.

This time of year it's too mcuh trouble to heat up the shop to play. So if I am alone I usually sing and play here in the house. It's the only chance really to sing at good volume and test out the keys I've worked out for songs. It's amazing how you think you need a lower key or some other change but at full "push" you can sing it. Or vice versa!

This had been my normal state of affairs for some years now, so the answer I guess is buy guitars

The weird answer to that question is when home alone I normally do something like clean the garage. I have no idea why.

It's a few degrees above freezing here,so life wouldn't be the only thing too short when running around naked. :(

I would get out the spandex, faux unicorn horn and splendidly bushy horse tail and practice my Grande Jete - Tour en l'air movement.

It would be just another day at work for me. I’ve been busier since I retired than when I was working. My wife has decided we need to live the HGTV lifestyle with me as the contractor. A day home alone is a day she can’t find something else that needs to be done.

Way too large ribeye steak for one person, glass of wine, few beers, guitar, some movies and/or sports, no talking.

Sleep, lounge around, watch some DVDs. Maybe, play a little bit of guitar. Sleep...

Bust out the acoustic and sing.

Drink some coffee or beer, pick your poison.

Go to incognito mode on the laptop

Take a nap (if you chose beer)

Do a couple chores... I know I know, but worth it for the brownie points imo.
