I'm fortunate to jam around twice a month, but holiday time will get me to 3 jams for December. It's great to see some who I haven't since last years jam and make some live music. I just got one of those Egnater Tweaker 15 heads and cab they were blowing out so that will be my amp to play with. Been having fun swapping out tubes and found a set of 6L6's that sound right.

For guitars, here's what I got lined up:

Left to right:

1956 frankinTele - '56 refinished body, refinished/refretted neck and some original hardware
1975 Thinline - factory bigsby and such a friendly neck.
1989 Les Paul pre-Historic gold top
1978 ES-175 Thinline.

They all sound good through the Tweaker, can't wait to crank them to drummer level. We play a wide variety of music and having 2 great female vocals who also play makes it a special treat.

Anybody else get to jam over the holidays? What are you taking to the jam?

Yep. It will be this rig when my pals show up on Saturday to blast through holiday favorites such as Rudolph the Red-eyed Reindeer, Frosty the Cokeman, and Walking In My Winter Underwear.

It's the Pagelli into the Crunch Box into the Princeton Reverb. New strings are a lovely thing!

Got a Christmas Pizza Lunch jam next Wednesday with a few buddies that don't gig anymore.

I'm bringing my Epi SG Pro and my little 5-watter Monoprice amp,
as I want to turn it all the way up!
( I can't do that in my apartment, and I use other amps for my gigs)

My buddy has a real Gibson '61 SG reissue, and I want to compare and play both SG's. (The more recent Epis have come a long way with making clearer humbuckers and 500K pots. Mine sounds very good)

No new photos of guitars, but I updated my pedalboard and home rig just a couple of weeks ago. Current configuration is my pedalboard stereo'd into my Subway Rocket and AC15:

There will be a New Year’s Eve bluegrass jam in town. Last year (which was my first year here), about 50-60 pickers showed up. They all knew a lot of songs, all the verses, and the harmonies. They split up into four rooms, and just went crazy. I wish I knew some bluegrass.

Been doing my Christmas "jams" all month pretty much with the same rig: 2006 Epi Sheraton 1964 Reissue, 1979 Vibrolux Reverb, Bose L1 Compact, Roland GR30 guitar synth, and Band In A Box backing tracks in my laptop, doing material ranging from "O Holy Night" to "Santa Claus is Back in Town." Audiences have been very receptive so far. The week of Christmas to New Year's I have seven gigs lined up- gonna be busy!

We have a full band setup in the basement on a 45 acre farm so I believe there will be some jamming with my son, guitar and my stepson, a pro level drummer.

Depending, on what others want to play, we generally, change up and I might be playing bass, drums or slide, not that I am the greatest musician but we have a lot of fun.

No band right now , so jams are what’s happening.

Amps: Rockitt Retro 50, Quilter Superblocks US & UK.

Guitars: a couple of early 90s Hamer Specials.

Being the idiot that I am, I sold my two Teles last year. I recently used a friend’s Tele through my Rockitt Retro. Yeah…idiot I am.
