My wife surprised me and gave me a 30th birthday present in advance!

This is a Gibson Les Paul Special from 2020 and it is the best damn guitar I’ve ever played!

Instead of posting pictures, I made this jam to show off the guitar!

Truth be told, this is my first Gibson and my first Les Paul!

I’ve been playing a Fender Stratocaster for the past 10 years. This Les Paul is a whole other world and I love it!

The chunky neck is so incredibly comfortable and it looks so damn good!

The p90s sound fantastic and I’m over the moon with this guitar!

Where has it been all my life?

Excellent jam! And yeah, with the whole Gibson vibe Fender people either get it or they don’t. The ones that really do never go without one again. They are just ridiculously good guitars. And those plek fret jobs they put on them certainly don’t hurt.

    Congratulations!

    Nice, sounds great.

Love those guitars. I have a 2018 Jr that is pretty awesome, but the Specials always tempt me.

Congrats and happy birthday! Welcome to the wrong side of 30.

Did you track that with the Katana? If so, does it sound that good through headphones? I’ve tried them in a room and didn’t like them at all. But if they’re that good through the headphone out I’d buy one anyway. At least until I can gig full time again.

    happy LP day :)

its another world for sure...the crunch the sustain the feel only come with a Gibson.

I rejoined the LP world last year and cant put em down.

Even half asleep when I wake I just wanna shake and bake

Could be you're happier with the shorter scale and fret differences. Be happy.
I haven't found a Gibson, acoustic or electric that really inspires me , and I have the $$$s to buy one.
That is a good one played by many Aussie guitarists as they are not huge in price like most Les Pauls.

    Ah, you'll get over it.

But seriously, I'd rather have a Gibson than a Strat any day (but I'd rather have a tele than either).

My last guitar purchase was a D'Angelico with Duncan humbuckers. Basically a Les Paul in spirit. Sometimes you just need that big sound.

Well done video man! Nothing like a nice set neck wraparound mahogany guitar with P90s, and Gibson--in my experience--makes a fine axe.

Some great playing there--I need to practice! lol

Happy birthday! I got my first Gibson, and its an ES-330, and it was enough for me to sell everything. LOL..

I got another tele in the works though, to keep me in the Fender camp still.. LOL

    Happy Birthday!
Congratulations on the Les Paul. I love my old ‘74 Special. Unfortunately the P90s were replaced with HBs
As soon as they become available, again, I’m getting a Gold Top Standard with P90s

My first was a LP Jr, then a Custom and a Deluxe. Finally got some strats and teles; but honestly, LPs cannot be beat, although I do like the Fenders.

Great playing and post, congratulations on your new guitar!

I'm a VERY happy camper with my LP Special, it could be the twin of yours.

    Thumbs up.

I'm back and forth between my Tele and my Les Paul. It depends on my mood.

Great jam and of course the P90 tone ! I have six P90 guitars and one is the 2020 Epiphone LP Special. It is also a fantastic guitar.
