I'm looking at a really good deal on a JB-95 Joe Bonamassa wah.
It was demo unit at the nearby store that is now closed, and is selling some of it's gear on local classifieds.
It goes for the price of a Standard GCB-95.
There is no opportunity to try it myself, but I liked the demos I've heard.
Should I go for it (at least for the price)?
It'd be much appreciated if the JB-95 owners or someone who's had experience with it chime in.
    Thanks.

Do it, you could sell it for no loss if you didn't like it

Was thinking exactly the same, but I'd still like to know the experience users have with theirs.
How it the copper top holding, is it prone to scratches, and is the aluminum casing sturdy enough?

Sound-wise it's interesting. To me, the JB95 has a pronounced vocal-like midrange, but not in a Vox nasally way.
Rather, it retains the bottom end of a Crybaby, with a darker voice.
I've also discovered that the was has a wide and musical sweep.
Fairly usable left in certain positions, and the effect is present throughout pedal's travel, which is somewhat shorter than on the usual today's wahs.

The sound kind of reminds me of Santana's wah on Blues For Salvador:

I bought one on sale last winter. I found it quite dark but shifting the pot should fix that. As far as its construction, it's pretty bulletproof. I'd toss it out a 1st story window with no worries.

    Thanks.
How do you like the wah overall? I intend to use it with both single-coils and humbuckers.
Seems good for accentuating notes and sounds usable throughout it's sweep.

stratburst, i spent some quality time with one a while back. there is no adjusting the pot beyond where it is for more treble. they are using a modern TT 2 million cycle pot that has a specific range - they run it from 45k to 100k as is, there is no more treble, as 100k is topped out.

at some point they changed it to a brushed copper, i believe the shiny copper was early on. the one i had was an early model, the shiny one.
if you can get one for the 69.99 or 79.99 of a regular CB, that is a smokin deal!
sam mcrae and jeorge tripps did a killer job on this, the shell, the PCB, everything is top notch.
i made a video of mine, i did not find it dark in my setup.

I've used and tried other whas and the JB was my favorite ( against The Vox, the Slash signature, etc.) it is now on my board and I really like it. As you said, it has a vocal quality.
If you can get it for a deal, you should definitely jump on it.
