So whats the deal? I have used google play for music for a long time and like the interface. Now they are making me migrate to YouTube. The UI is HORRIBLE.

I am the person that likes to BUY the album when it comes out, electronically of course but I want to own it. I dont want a subscription with ads and whatever.

What is everyone doing for music? I guess its time to join the rest of the world. Ive held out long enough. SIGH...

"I feel you", as they say.
I own a few old CDs. Otherwise, I use Spotify. That's all.

I stream on Apple Music. I pay $15-16 per month for the family plan, which is basically my wife and I. We have access to everything we've ever owned and all the new stuff. And no storage required for CDs or records. The sound isn't amazing, but neither are my ears anymore. It sounds good enough not to get in the way of the music and that's all I ask. I had a few records and CDs that were not available on streaming services when we switched over about 5-6 years ago, so I ripped the CDs, found a guy to digitize the records, and they're in my Apple Music catalog as well. The convenience and access is way more valuable to me these days than fidelity. It sounds fine.

Google+ is their failed attempt at social media.

Yes I used to buy 98% of my music from Google play and it was five or six albums per month. I wont be subscribing to anything now but will go back to CD's and maybe vinyl. Nice to know they can do without my momey

I just buy the physical CDs - It's so much easier.

    Ok - Eddie.

I buy some, but I also like to discover bands I haven't listened to before.
