She has repaid your love with many memories. She'll be wagging a tail for you somewhere.

You gave her a good life, be proud of what you did. She's smiling on you from somewhere.

Sorry for your loss. It's just so unfair that our friends cant be with us longer. I would gladly give a few years of my life to them if I could.

Here's to Sophie for being such a great companion and you for giving the great care and love you did.
These are the toughest decisions I've ever had to make, but you made the right choice from your decription and took away the pain for her.
I'm afraid I am going to have to do this again in the not to distant future as I have 2 that are 12, the will get extra hugs today.

Sorry to hear of your loss, our dog Penny is 13 and she has her good days and bad,but more good. But I worry every day when I get home if she will be waiting for me.
    Very hard.

Thanks everyone for the sympathies and kind words. Sophie was a sweetheart and like a big teddy bear with kids too. My neice put this hat on her and she didn't mind at all, so we took a picture. Sophie is smiling, thanks for that!

    Sorry for your loss
Happened too many times to me , losing a buddy.
Going through it again with a sick dog and the vets are not sure what he has.
Just remember the good times and think of the dog that's waiting for you at the shelter
