I need a little tube amp, 15 watts or less probably.

Any good, low-watt amps out there?

You will have to provide more information about what kind of sound you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay for it.

Yes there are some good low watt tube amps out there.

The Egnater Tweaker is competent and sounds great; there are lots of others. The Tweaker is a 2 X 6V6 platform with a buffered effects loop, and you can put any brand of tubes you like in it, since it's cathode biased. Just steer clear of the current Celestion speakers and get Weber or Eminence. There are other little tube amps that do one or two things better, but the overall rodeo champ is the Tweaker in my opinion.

    Champions of Chime

If you're looking for something 'british' sounding (like Vox/Marshall) go to YouTube and search for Premier Guitars' Champions of Chime video series.

They looked at a whole bunch of low watt (15-18W) EL84 based amps, ranging from Vox Hand-wired to Dr Z, to 65 amps and Matchless.

Those would be a good place to start the search.

Unless you're looking for a Fender (6V6) type sound...

It's tough to beat a Fender Champ 5F1 circuit.

VHT Special 6 or Ultra,Marshall Haze ,Blackstar are awesome .Wish they all came with Spring reverb though .Champ 600 ,Princeton Reverb is my first choice but not my wallet.
Too much choice and SS are getting far more useful in that power range anyhow .

In my opinion, the Tweaker eats the Marshall Haze before the standby switch is flipped.

If you like clean nothing beats a Fender Princeton (non reverb).

If you like Reverb, and some break up then look at Allen Chihuahua.

You aren't going to find much better than these in terms of great overall tone.
    Good luck.
