Hey there! I'm giving my son my Peavey Bandit to learn on. Works great, except the reverb tank went kaput and has been removed. Instead of installing a new one, I figure on giving him a reverb pedal to run in the loop. Any recommendations that won't break the bank, including cheapies like Joyo, Donner, Behringer, et. al. are appreciated.

The Reverb is the best side of this pedal: Delay is pretty good.
Got mine on sale for $30 but they are a bit more now I think.

Love mine!

I have a small pedalboard (all cheap) for my Monoprice 5-watter amp, and this works great for both good Reverb and slapback Delay ( rockabilly).

I have an Eno TC-18 reverb that's pretty good. Much better than the Mooer ShimVerb which costs more. Couldn't get a decent sound out of that & sold it.
I also have a Marshall Reflector RF-1. It took me 2 mins to achieve the same sound as a Fender spring reverb.
But it's heavy, really heavy. Don't drop it on your foot!

The ShimVerb and SkyVerb were the absolute worst sounding pedals I’ve tried.

Thanks for the heads up on the SkyVerb. I almost bought one to replace the ShimVerb!!!
The 'Shim' setting was horrible. I still have pedals I bought in 1980/81. The ShimVerb lasted 3 months!
I bought the RF-1 instead then the Eno for my mini pedalboard.

I thought the Biyang was cheesy. In this category you can’t beat buying a Hall of Fame mini used and just choosing among the dozens of first rate tone prints available.

That's what I'm leaning towards. I also see EHX Nano Holy Grail pedals selling used for prices the same as these cheaper pedals from Amazon.

I don't know what style of reverb you are looking for, but for an inexpensive single knob spring sound the "Tiny Spring" by Tone City is a really good sounding pedal.

If used as a subtle effect, it was ok. Anything more had awful digital artifacts.
