A song inspired by my time spent over the years in the beautiful state of Wyoming . Photos in the video are those taken by my wife and myself. Thanks to Neil Flanz for his great pedal steel work on the song. Hope y'all enjoy it.
We live in Eagle, Idaho - on the northwest corner of the Boise area. We have Californians and other coastal refugees moving in here by the trainload. Our house which we paid $150K for is now worth more than triple that.
I have previously lived in Colorado back when it was more or less untrammeled, and in Montana ditto.
Cheyenne is right over the border to Colorado, where our oldest boy may move to if he finds a tech job there (they have LOTS). And houses in Cheyenne are still affordable and hey - it's Wyoming, so a lot of the evil crap that's happening in the major metro areas will NEVER be a problem there.
So who knows ... we may cash out and be "Gone to Wyoming" ourselves in a few years.
My son got married in Wyoming this past August, to a woman who grew up there. Beautiful ceremony in a church with a view of the mountains, and an outdoor reception that followed. I don't know if I would want to live there, but it sure was wonderful to visit.
