By "new" I mean "vintage" Avion stopped making aluminum campers about 1989, this one's a 1983 34V like my last one. (without the fire damage) I'd be on the road now in the 81 Dodge W250 but a friend of mine insisted on going with his newer Dodge turbo diesel. A hand changing six tires sounded good to me, and his pickup has a radio. Asked him yesterday what time we'd take off, "depends on how drunk I get tonight" was the answer. So I asked where he was going last night. Two places, first to a buddy's to finish up a transmission rebuild for another Dodge pickup, there will be beer, then to some mutual friends for a drink. That particular couple probably do more business at the local liquor store than most bars. I'm hoping the lights all work on that damned old camper! Really regretting accepting the offer for help now. . . . .
