I might look into these.
Flippin' the pics around:
They're back apparently!
I think these look quite sharp IMO.
your surgery mistakes?
i really want something with an explorer or iceman body shape at some point.
I may put my SD Alnico V PUs in "Corrina". I think the nickel PU covers might look better with that guitar.
New pic of "Corrina":
I put the different PUs in it and tested it out. The rhythm PU sounds great but I didn't get much volume from the bridge PU. I'll check the soldering and report back ASAP.
I checked the soldering on the PU connection and they seem OK. What other connection would affect the volume of that PU? The volume is still way low.
I think I have a couple of connections wrong on the pot. I'll change them and see what happens.
I looked at their site and they didn't have an Explorer set.
I'll probably get a Strat set for another guitar I'm trying to build though.
The Explorer's illegitimate stepson.
Something weird must've went on there...
Still get real low volume from the bridge PU. I may just change out the pot.
The rhythm PU sounds nice.
You mean father.
I said "To heck with it!" I'm just going to take all the wires off and get some good wires and resolder it all myself on both guitars!
I'm redoing "Blackie" first.
I'm taking my time (this time) and starting from scratch. I unsoldered all connections and (especially the switch which had on the puny factory wires that were probably the problem) will use some stouter wires from my stash. I'll have to reuse the .47h cap on the one pot.
I have high hopes for this 4th of July project.
I guess Americans would probably name Lewis & Clark.
I'm just about done with rewiring "Blackie". I just have to solder in the 2 PU wires to the switch.
I wanted to take my time and finish it tomorrow.
Or long lost uncle?
