I have a 1984 Telecaster Contemporary and I need to do a complete re-wiring job. The problem is I can't find the correct parts for this one of kind guitar. The selector switch is very unique for Fender, since it doesn't match anything they show. Anyone out there know a secret Tele place with the correct parts for this Japanese 1984 model? I have to admit that I have never seen one of those before. IS their an access panel on the back or do you have to remove the pickups to get at them?

That's it. Thank you so much. I took the back off and looked around and found this wire was torn loose.

Cool! Nice guitar, too. MIJs are creeping up in price quite steadily. All you need is the next seasonal resurgence of metal and that'll be a pretty desirable guitar I bet. Great you could keep it stock, although I would doubt it'll get to the point where people are worried about the original PVC cable :D
