LAst time i saw the godfather movies was a long time ago, but they didn't do it for me. I enjoyed billy bathgate though. I would need to see that one again but i bet it looked better when i was 15.

I like the scenes with young Vito building his reputation and his business in Godfather Part II more than the later Michael in Vegas and Cuba stuff.

For decades, I heard people saying, "If you like the movie(s), read the book!"

I did and they were right.

It was either the original book or possibly the later "The Family Corleone" book by Ed Falco that gives Neri's backstory.

He's exactly the kind of guy the Corleone family would want.
