As Red Green says, "Spare the duct tape and spoil the job". Glad to see that Canadian practicality has found a home in California.

    Funny, yes :).

But it represents the poor shape of so much of our countries infra-structure.

There are a million good paying jobs just waiting for someone with initiative to pull the trigger ;).

    Yeah.

Ya'll be teasing on Bakersfield, but don't forget - there's always Barstow.

And for those in Barstow, don't grieve too much - at least you don't have a flat tire in Daggett.

And finally, if you wanna ride hard on Bakersfield, why not try the one in Texas (where there's a large, fairly deliberate pothole on I-10 Westbound to provide employment for the locals when suspension bits break on motor homes and etc.

"The Grapes of Wrath" novel documents the plight from Oklahoma to Bakersfield for all to read.

    Barstow? Oro Grande, Adelanto.

As to Okies, they and the other Dust Bowl migrants, had a big part in California’s agricultural, oil and defense industries.

If ya reinforced that repair with some coat hangers, it would last for years.
