Gluing in a bolt on neck?

Best acoustic guitars (Collings, Bourgeois etc) have bolt on necks which proves to me it won't make a positive (or negative) tonal difference.

I do agree the plate on the back looks cheap compared to the rest of your design. Maybe some plugged holes....contrasting wood. You could drop a heavy washer inside and bolt tight then plug it up!

As suggested a glue in will have little machining tolerance. It'd be nice to have that even 1° of adjustment if need be. If you miss....

Fender currently sells the Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH, which has 2 Seymore Duncan humbuckers, a glued-in neck and is made in Indonesia for $999 usd. Not a bad looking guitar. Tele body shape without the tele ash tray style bridge, pickguard, 3-way switch and control plate. What do you think? Like it or hate it?
