Only one of my guitars has a name; it's the one I put together myself. I call it 'The Fecker' because it was a bit of an arsejob if i'm honest.

Fun stuff. Some get names, some don't.

Guild baritone is Barry.
Redwood Tele is Red
New CS Tele is Mr. Mocha
"Made in France" Tele is The Punk Guitar as it was a cast-off from when Mike Watt blew through town.
Reverend 12 string is Goldie (Venetian Gold Burst)
Rest of them get called by what they are LP, S-500, Strat, ASAT classic, ASAT S, etc., etc.

I just call it "my guitar", "the guitar" or just "guitar". And when I do, it does everything that can be expected of it.

3 of 12, but there are reasons why those did and others are simply, the sunburst Tele, the hardtail, etc.
One of them, "Eleanor" came from a line from a Firesign Theater joke I thought of after I noticed a part on the guitar shared a birthday with an infamous name.
The other two were named because of constant modifications.

A few times. No big deal one way or another. I know plenty of people who give names to their cars or trucks, some are kind of fun.

Had a Takamine acoustic that my band mates dubbed “Taco”. Had to even explain the phonetic similarities to a few people.

The only one that was sort of memorable was an SG that I started calling “shabelita” - which is a Cono Sur nickname for Isabel. This was a period between the two administrations. I had a crush on this very beautiful Chilean woman, more than a lifetime ago.

The woman, long gone. I still have the SG, which is now called the SG.

A Caddy Green Gretsch 5420, I call 'Charlotte' for personal reasons.
BSB Tele, called 'Marilyn' - Gentlemen Prefer Blondes ;)
<Les Paul is called 'Shirley' - Goldfinger, theme tune sung by Shirley Bassey, the actress who played the girl who got painted was Shirley Eaton.
My green HSS Strat is called 'Trigger's Broom' - it's had 2 bodies and 3 necks.
Everything else has no name.
