Almost enough to make me get over my Fender monopoly. Really nice guitars. The LP Specials have this "look" that seems to say, "shut up, pick me up, start playing!"
And, nearly 10 years later… NGD

Bought this yesterday at Long & McQuade in Victoria, BC.

As I said in my post from 10 years ago, I picked it up, started playing it, and had to buy it! Super affordable (for a USA Gibson) and plays like a dream.

A brand new Gibson Les Paul Special. I bought one of these in 2019 and later sold it. Kind of regretted selling it ever since. I’ll try to hang onto this one.

Now home, a new set of .010’s and the Fretboard conditioned. Plugged into the Marshall.

2019 LP Special with unbound fat fifties neck, tom bridge and zebras.

I know the clear plate looks goofy but I did not like the black guard but thought that at least the hint of the plate outline kinda maintains the original lines of a special.

I'm back in the club. Standard production model. It's a 2024 that I got lightly used/near mint. I think it was a customer return. This one's got a slightly darker finish than most of the ones I've seen, including the one I sold two years ago. It's not as bright a yellow and you can see the wood grain through the finish everywhere. I love it!
