For me it would be either a Jazzmaster or 335. Would be hard to pick between the two. If I could eliminate the LP then it would be both plus the Tele.

Not as popular today, but the jangly, Rickenbacker 360/12 with the Ric toaster pickups. Without contradiction, I can say nothing sounds like it. Especially, as a rhythm in the background.
I have 23 guitars for this reason , ...but if I could only have 3

I don't like Les Pauls so I would never play it. I would rather have a Strat & a 335 to go with my Tele.

Either a semi-hollowbody (335, 339, etc) or something with P90's. Or a semi-hollowbody with P90's.
Something with a mahogany body and P90s for sure. I sort of live that life:

That's been my experience as well. There's far less overlap between a Tele and Strat than there is between an LP and a 335.
For a 3rd guitar to go with an LP and Tele, getting a Strat would be the obvious choice for me. I have those three myself and there just isn't much ground that can't be covered with an LP, Strat and Tele.
For a hollowbody to go along with a Tele and LP, a Gretsch or Ric would make more sense to me than another Gibson and would add more versatility.

A Burns BISON, virtually unknown in the US of A I believe; hand made and designed by a Mr Burns himself - a true Luthier (i.e he knew what he was doing) - famous in a UK circle of rock guitarists for it's 'Howling Dog' pick-up setting amongst others/split sound etc. Don't have a photo to hand but if anyone interested can find one; a rival to the Strat in many ways - powerful, heavy-ish and great looking.
