Gibson ES-339

I've been eyeing this new gibson model. It has most of the features of and ES-335 but scaled down body dimensions. They are advertising it as a custom shop model but I don't see how since it's retail price is $1,799. Here is a description and video:

Sorry Fuzzy for posting about a Gypsin but this thing is just too cool not to mention.

Thoughts?

It's actually the ES-339 and a fellow TDPRI-er has one that I got to play a little bit last weekend.

It's a really cool guitar that sounds and plays great. It surprised the hell out of me that the nut, fretwork, and setup all seemed great. I'm not used to that from Gibsons. I'm not sure if I liked the smaller size or not, but my vote probably shouldn't count since I'm a big enough guy that a 335 looks like a Tele does on most guys.

It does have the Custom Shop logo on the back. For a set-neck, lacquer finish, Custom Shop guitar, I think that's one heck of a price.

Thanks eryque,

Yes, you're right it is the es-335, I just made a typo. Did the one you played have the 30/60 neck profile or the '59 profile? Anybody else have any experience or thoughts on this new gibson?

I'm thinking of getting one with the 30/60 neck. Actually I'm probably going to pull the trigger after the start of next year. My idea of the perfect Gibby...the pickups might have to be Fralins though.
