I would reguard such sighting as a imprint, like a moment in time, being replayed, like a video..
So the image would have clothes, and, anything else, that represents, said moment in time.
The imprint is not the soul it is the 'fingerprint left behind' of the entity.
The actual soul would be an orb.
Course, then they're the theory that Americans have such nudity issues that they carry that over to the other side.

Logic has no place in the land of the ghost. We shut our eyes and say the magic words. Ghostie, ghostie, postie toastie, appeareth now before me. So that we can chant the magic words. I would gladly repay you with TWO hamburgers next Tuesday if you would but buy me one hamburger today.

My issue with 'ghosts' is not that they appear in clothes.
It's that hauntings only happen at night.
So, not only are they aware of the time, from the other side, but appearantly ALL work the late shift.
    I call bs on that.

This is a fun thread. It was shared with us and I hope the humor isn't offending to anyone who truly sees this as a paranormal event. Things like this are interesting and there will always be the "well, prove that it isn't!" bumping up against the "prove that it is!" It's fun to talk about and humor is just one way to view it.

The OP says he takes ghosts seriously...but I can't help but think that if folks are able to ghosify then why would that process remove their sense of humor?:)

By the way...that is absolutely a lapel-less, collared Nudie suit with what looks to me to be a red star on the shoulder. Elvis at 80...no question.

    Not ruling out "alien Elvis"....

Even though I believe, I take the "rule out any other alternatives first" approach. As far as the clothes issue that's an interesting one. If you think about it purely scientifically, you could say that human beings are charged with energy. Correct? We know from High School physics that Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Correct? So perhaps it is an energy imprint or something. I'm sure our clothing absorbs some of our energy in some way? Who knows, just trying to think of it in a different way. I'm no Bill Nye...

Ghost riders in the sky.... can you play it? If so, break it out tonight, play the song and see what happens.... you might need to have support there when you do. Also a couple of six packs wouldn't hurt...

    Freaky good!

Yeah, well Bill Nye is an affirmed atheist, so he couldn't accept the premise in the first place.

If there are really any such things as ghosts, would it make any difference what he thought about it if he became one? Hmm, strange people these ghosts.

I am so tired of wearing clothes I want my ghost to be nekkid. You have been warned. Unless clothes on the other side just fit really well and stains magically disappear. Or do they have washing machines in the next life?
