Ok clear coats are all done, 3 coats in total. This could probably go straight to the buffer without any wet sanding, actually it could pretty much go straight to assembly without anything but I can probably get it a tiny bit smoother on the buffer.

Wishing now I would have just done the whole body, although I did get pretty lucky getting the blacks to match (not that easy actually, compare this black to the LP in background and you can see what I mean).

Here's a pre-buffer (possibly pre-wet sand) photo dump. The outside edge of the binding where the tape was needs some clean up (you can see that in the first pic) but this clear coat is about 96% perfect.

Good one Rob. Rob I just remembered I forgot about your txt message. I'll bring you up to speed on that.

Meanwhile I've decided that since I can't decide whether to sand this or go straight to the buffer the indecision means I need to sand. So I think I'll start at 1000 grit.

Ok sanded thru 1500. Going to let it sit and cure one more day then hit it with the buffer.

Hesitating between going right to the buffer. James you are a Master at spraying. There is no hesitation for me, it has to start at 400 grit and move up.

Your bench is probably not much different than anyone else's around here... And I'll double down on that statement..

    Looks awesome!

I'm gonna be afraid to build it out of fear of scratching or scraping it. It's gorgeous, James.
