Reading through all 180 grumpy-ass posts on a thread, just because I couldn't sleep. Again.

 

Could we have fewer pedanticism and less pedantics please?

The Norman city stop lights ... and yes in Norman they are "stop" lights.

We don't have much traffic, so is just a little thing. Still silly to have to wait 1 minute at each light for no cars to go through the intersection.

I must ask...
Without the room, the ability to shift into gear and get the vehicle rolling as the light changes and the car ahead begins to move is not possible when you are 6" away from it.

This does not allow for the smoothest flow of traffic for those behind you, and either way, does not impede the speed or time at which those behind get to their destination any more than 20' or so.

How does this cause problems?

 

If you leave gaps, those sensors in the road may think there is no car, and the light will turn back to red. This is just based on my observations.

 

If the theater was uncrowded, why didn't you just move?

 

This happens ... especially in turn lanes. Very frustrating.

Not to mention when it blocks access to turn lanes and or parking lot entrances/exits.

Just a lot of thoughtless/selfish people in the world.

 

Guys who do yoga just to pick up girls. It's WAY too obvious man. Just stop.

 

This is a Fender Telecaster forum. We do not need any schemes to pick up girls. They natural gather around us and stand in line to be with us.
