Maybe not so much a telecaster topic beside that famous 69 tele he got special made.
But this man seemed such a Nice man and also I think a very competent guitarist. I think sometimes he gets overlooked. Some Nice vids of George

    He was my favorite Beatle.
    Still is.
    RIP, and thanks, George.

I have a 80's tokai version of the "Rosie". I love George :)

Also, wasn't the tele gifted from Clapton in '69?

No, it was gifted to George by Fender themselves, it was the second of the two prototypes of the rosewood telecaster they had made. You're thinking of Lucy, the '57 cherry red Les Paul Clapton gifted George.

Love his slide work, especially on Living in the Material World. A sadly overlooked George album, IMO.

Actually from what I have heard. Fender was disapointed that Beatles were never shown live with their instruments, though George main guitar in the studio from 65 and onwards was a Stratocaster Brian Epstein did not want them seen with Fender instruments on stage. Off course that changed When he died. George using his Strat on I am the Walross video the magical mystery tour and the world wide sending of all you need is Love. But even so Fender was not satisfied so they set up a meeting with Paul and John. John left soon as he was not so interested but Paul agreed to use Fender instruments. So they got a Fender bas and the Tele that at that point was the best tele ever made. Weighted very much too. He only kept it for 11 months before giving it to Delany Bramlet. I think it was used along with other guitars on the Let it be album and the room concert. From ErIc I know he got a Strat and a les Paul. I think Clapton bought 6 Strats gave one to George and one to Steve Winwood he then took parts from the 4 other Strats to make His Blackie . The Les Paul he gave to George was named Lucy and Clapton played it on while my guitar gently weeps.

Replace ”wah wah” to ”Beatles”, and you’ll be surprised. Or so the story tells.

    Great song.

Wow. Incredible collection. Is the Tele a custom shop or one of the Japanese recreations from the 80s(?) it looks really good and I zoomed in to check out the maple strip.
