Me thinks George loved those lil square pieces of paper on his tongue
Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang
Enjoy the song while you rehash the ancient lawsuit.
'Religion' is man-made; 'relationship' is God-inspired. Perhaps your friend was closer to God than you think.
And I still like Eric.
Nice song shame he got his wish sooner than later
I'm pretty sure he was.
Thanks for posting- I love this version. I’m not religious either but Billy’s vocal brings a sense of pure joy to the song (contrasting with George’s singing on the original which gave it a sense of wonder).
This performance features two Beatles plus three ‘fifth’ Beatles (Billy, Eric and Klaus Voorman, who can be spotted standing at the side) all on stage. George Martin was in the audience and I’d be surprised if Neil Aspinall wasn’t there too. Could this be the greatest number of fifth Beatles (as we all know there were loads of them) ever gathered in one place?
I'm puzzled by everyone who feels they have to say they aren't religious, but like/don't like the song.
I don't cheat on my wife, but I like cheatin' songs.
I haven't committed murder, but I love me some old folk murder ballads.
I'm a pretty happy person, but I like sad songs and blues music.
I'm not British, but I thought Freddie Mercury was incredible.
