Three musical giants in one band. Three musical geniuses in one band.

No wonder the Beatles outshine all other rock bands IMHO.

I play many George Harrison songs. Love his stuff.

The majority of the guitar work on the album is done by Clapton.

Yes I know, they were good friends, though Clapton was involved with George's ex-wife. That's a pretty strong friendship. Eric played on My Guitar Gently Weeps. There's more history, but I will leave it there.

The fact that The Beatles passed on this - in favor of stuff like Maxwell's Silver Hammer - was a good indicator that the jig was up.

I love John, and Paul's work, genius to be sure....but George's later work went much deeper than anything John or Paul ever did. Was he the most talented of the Beatles? That is debatable with no clear answer, but George's stuff is my favorite, because it touched my soul whereas John and Paul's work was indeed awesome, but in a different way.

The All Things Must Pass version is untouchable but it's just IMO. It's a different approach but I've always liked Leon Russell's version for it's inventiveness.

    My alltime favorite George song.
