what the hell is that?
Ha -- noticed that too.
Ahhh. Of course. Thank you.
I've noticed quite a few guitars in the background of "zoomed" interviews and panel guests. So far no double-digit collections, but I'll bet there are some in other rooms offstage.
Books, too. I squint to make out the titles, and wonder whether the talking heads have actually read them.
Is it a lefty?
No surprise but Conan's almost always got a guitar or two in the background when he does his show from home.
No. That guitar is obviously not working but his wife says he plays in alternate tunings.
Congratulations, you just won the internet!
I noticed that guitar on his couch as well.
I've also seen an emergency doctor who's been on national TV through Zoom a few times about COVID who has what I'm pretty sure is a Fairlane Blue Gretsch 5420 hanging on the wall behind him.
Guitars have become the de rigueur background accessory for video calls.
I want to nail a frigging drum kit to my wall.
When I pointed out on another forum that several reporters and politicians are guitar players, judging by their interviews from home on some shows, one response was that they're all fake and are two dimensional backdrops, to which I replied that it's actually conceivable that people with other careers can also play guitar for enjoyment. I feel sorry for those that believe everything they see isn't real and is part of some vast conspiracy to defraud them. Imagine what kind of life they have. It's quite sad, IMO.
I recently sold a really nice flamenco guitar on Reverb to a doctor in Chicago. He said that he had just started taking up flamenco, and it was really a nice escape from all the chaos going on during the day.
