$25K for a Strat painted with nail polish? No thanks.

If you can afford one and are a massive Beatles fan and/or think it'll fill a void in your tone quest... Sure, why not?
Or if you're in one of the myriad of tribute bands and can afford one... perhaps too?

Lockback is right.. Sell c. 10 and they'd cover R&D costs and be into profit... Interesting to know the sales figures in a couple of years?

Also, no doubt Harrison's estate will get a % and they do, still, do good/charitable works... So hopefully if they are just bought by folk with an eye to a profit... Some good will come of it too.

He called it “nail varnish” I believe.

    Their word for nail polish.

The reissue is dumb (but profitable for Fender), but the slide stuff George played on the real one is genius/magic.

Dumb to us, smart for Fender. This is like the halo cars for an automaker... few will be sold, they are obviously overpriced, and they generate profits that subsidize lower prices on down-market models. I hope they sell every last one and keep the 'cheap' guitars coming.

25K is a lot of money. I entertained the thought of buying one for oh, say 10 seconds and decided I could spend 25K in a better way.
But their is a cheaper solution for the creative types. Buy an American Special FSR it was Sonic Blue with rosewood board. And have at it. I own one but I not inclined to go full tilt boggie and try my hand at creating a Rocky Strat.

They made a Tony Iommi "Monkey" SG this year, sold them for $30k each IIRC.

It's only dumb if people don't buy them

My first “good” guitar, 64 SG I got in 1967. Like a dummy had it painted in the psychedelic style. Like a bigger dummy sold it, the guy in the pic is who I sold it to and it was stolen from him.

Hard to see but some of the imagery came from the Buffalo Springfield Again cover so a bit more “ hippie organic”.

    Anyone seen it?

Looks like I'm alone here but I think it looks killer, is it worth 25k? Absolutely not. But I'd love to own one for a reasonable price
