@Danb541 has a thread about an old pick of yourself being an album cover. While searching through my old pics I found one that made me think of my grandson. So I decided to start a thread of my own.

    upload_2020-10-29_16-13-30.png

On the left is me in 1972. My wife (well, then fiancée) wanted to perm my hair. We were engaged, and, hey, it was the '70s, so I acquiesced.

Fast forward to 2015, and on the right is my grandson Isaac, our son's eldest. A few years after this, he cut his hair short. I don't know if he has grown or will grow it back out, but I think there's a strong family resemblance.

And if the resemblance holds another 40 years, here's what my grandson has to look forward to...

    Be afraid, Isaac...be very afraid!

    Okay, anybody else?

Poor kid doesn't stand a chance...I'm only kidding!

This is as close as I can get, me and my nephew around 15 years ago. Hair color is wrong, I know. He's a sophomore at the University of Oregon right now...Go Ducks!

Yeah, genetics...As they say, you pick your friends, but you're stuck with your relatives.

So did your nephew take up the guitar? And is he a southpaw? I happen to be, BTW, but I'm a lefty that plays righty.

He didn't pickup the guitar but it's never too late! And yes, he is mostly southpaw. He golfs right handed though.

Never sported the mop top look. Up to our teen years, my Dad cut our hair (me and my brothers) with those electric clippers. He was really into the GI/crew cut look. After we saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, we begged our Dad to let us grow out our hair. He took those clippers and gave us a reverse mohawk, and said, "Do you want the rest to match?" Some of the worst fights I ever had with my Dad were about hair length.

Oh, and here' that crew cut kid...

I don’t have the pic readily available, but...

A couple of years ago, someone tagged “me from 1994” in a photo on Facebook, standing in the kitchen of an apartment I shared with my best friend at the time (1994). The only problem, it wasn’t me. It looked 100% like me from back then. My wife even agreed, “Are you sure that’s not you?” Nope, not me. In fact, the picture had only been taken a couple of days prior to being posted. It was posted by a friend-of-a-friend sort of thing.

I sent a couple of messages to “friends of friends” and discovered two things: (1) It was indeed not me, but a current member of my same college fraternity (500 miles away from Nashville), who looked just like the 1994 me, and (2) he lived in the same apartment... ~25 years later. When I reached out to him, I told him the name of the apartment complex and the apartment number... and it’s where he was currently living (at the time), and he was astonished that I had live there too.

And (3) (maybe?), I don’t even have any children.

Okay, I look at your post #5 now and I see a pic. But I swear I didn't see one when I made the "Pics or it didn't happen" comment. o_O:confused:

I was probably editing it, the first time I posted it the picture came thru sideways, I was fixing it. No worries.
