I remember reading online about Adrian Belew having a rig failure and they were trying to trouble shoot the problem. He had a really complex digital rig at the time and there was no way to do the show without it. That must have really sucked.

Making music and fiddling w/ gear are two opposites, one left, one right brain. I could draw from experience playing the songs but I was tapped out on figuring out the WahWah, even from previous experience,.. since it happened once before on this gig. Geez.

For me, if my stuff stuff doesn't sound right, it can impact my playing. I'm a seat o' the pants kinda player, I rely on being in the present tense, if my mind has to deal w/ gear too,.. something will suffer.

(On the other hand) a close friend of mine was Sean Costello, some folks might know of him. Gifted guitarist and singer would be an understatement. He played on my Sunday night gig for a couple years and would come back whenever he could,..we were friends since he was 16 to his death, just one day shy of 29. I've seen Sean play most of a set with a broken E & G strings (maybe we all a bit,..) and you'd never know it, what a mind. Sure brings one's own limitations into focus.

Last night on the gig I spent the first half of the set wondering what was wrong with my fabulous amp, sounded all nasally and nasty but not in a good way.

Found my Wah Wah was already engaged when I stepped on it to Wah, and there was my glorious Goodsell Super 17 tone. Yes, this is the second time I’ve done this in the last year.

Lordy,..
This happened to me yesterday, (in the studio, not on stage).

I used to have a voice. My stupid moment was being dressed "old School" up front and everyone else in the band wore jeans and T- shirts. The gig went wel. The models in the green room were very nice to us .

To quote the worlds most favorite band…”You gotta start from the start”…
I wanna be your lova, lova, Loverboy.
