Sorry, LG, there are many knowledgeable folks here but I'm not one of them. I'm sure someone will be along shortly.

    Welcome aboard.

There is a chance that it is a Squier Classic Vibe 60s tele body.

I'm unsure if the weight is a true reflection of this, however, based on my own experience with the Squier Classic Vibe 50s teles, they too weigh rather too heavy for my liking.

I have guesses, but that is it. I don't really know.

    Welcome.

Maybe post that pic in the general Telecaster forum - someone may know. They may want to know what markings are on the pots to help.

Perhaps it’s a MIJ Tele Custom body?
    Good luck!

I would rout out a ‘bathtub’ pickup cavity both to allow various picukup options and to relieve weight. I would not worry about anything except does the neck have a good line. If it does, then proceed with that neck. If not, get a good neck. It looks like you need a three hole bridge.
I have no idea what kind of body it is.....likely, it is a poly covered made in Asia guitar. Good luck with it.

It looks like it had the 5 hole Squier bridge on it. That's all I got.

Aren't those pots the small ones found in Squiers? No expertise in those matters but just an impression.

    Nice looking body!

Heel adjust routing must be a clue. I thought Squier as well, but not sure about the gap for heel adjust.

Korean Squire body perhaps. I had a Korean strat that weighed a ton.

Looks like mini pots, a ceramic bar magnet on the neck pickup. Looks like there's a sticker on the bottom of the neck pickup, whats it say? Those hints lead me to believe it's a squier or after market. It looks like it could be a classic vibe body but I think they have a humbucker route in the body at the neck. At least the ones stratosphere has for sale are routed like that.
