I suggest that when one of those Teles starts lacking adequate attention that you turn it into an Esquire with the Eldred wiring and then it'll be a whole new kind of fun for you. Something about a single pickup just gives it a little more snap and pop. Some of it is the simplicity, but I also think some of it may be due to reduced magnet pull on the strings by getting rid of the neck pickup.
well, what do you expect us to say, stop buying guitars??
way to go! I guess you put a new meaning to the "pedal to metal" in terms of GAS purchases!
Congrats! I love those roadworns.. the roadworn 60's strats were amazing as well.. I wish they did a 60's tele, ill be all over that one..
If it's financially sound for you then what's the problem with being out of control?
Can't say I blame you about the Road Worn. I don't need another guitar but I might jump if a RW popped up.
The only guitar that I really have lust over is an American Original LPB 60s Tele, but that is more about how stunning I think they look.
Only fix I’ve found for my serious GAS is my new AAS
Bought another amp last week because it was way too cheap
Now have a mere 10 amps but getting a sweet collection
Blackface twin reverb
Hand wired AC30
Fender mustang iv
Vox buskers amp from 70s and many more
Picked up a 15w Epiphone valve last week for $70 and it’s the first amp I’ve been able to dime everything and not go deaf, it’s actually very fender deluxe at full tilt although absolutely rubbish at any lower volume
As far as gas goes I’ve got about 15 in the quiver but have a daughter who now has gas
She’s got 6 so far incl a 72 thinline and about the same in ukeleles
Gues GAS runs in the family
I think that a lot of us have here the same syndrome and symptoms. Nice guitars. BTW...I grew up in Madison Heights. BTW 2...I love your Churchill quote!
These days, I’m in the opposite mood...seriously, contact me & put a Guitar Denter in my collection
I just purchased my 3rd Highway One Texas in 3 months. And since I upgraded them all that's 3 sets of locking tuners, 3 bridge plates 3 saddle sets 3 pickup sets 3 bakelite pickguards etc.
Collectors Choice is a special run from Gibsons' Custom Shop replicating (as much as possible) famous original 1958-60 Les Pauls that are today worth a quarter Million $ and up. This one is copied, scratch for scratch, from the 1960 Les Paul from John Shanks collection.
I used to have 65 at one time, was down to "only"10, but back over 30 again!
Had a Partscaster Esquire with the Eldred circuit, and like an idiot, sold it. I'll get, or build, another someday.
I won't say money is no object, but I really need to just play them, and A.D.D. kicks in and I don't know where to start!!!!!
That's all kinds of awesome there. Especially love the three teles!
X + 1
I’ve only got 41 guitars before I finish my most recent build I’m just starting, but I do only have 8 amps, so I guess I’m not too bad yet.
