Oh man that’s nice!
so my $4 investment was still a good deal?
BTW: feel free to let this bogus thread die
This has to be the Dumbest thread I have ever seen based on the studest premise anyone has even made "is this a real Fender (cause the seller said it was).
"anything obvious that shows it might be a fake?" Duh!
Yeah, and I'm Richard the Lionheart, King of England.
You don't "get" humor and jokes.... do you.
Must be tough to be so literal minded. I feel bad for you.
I'd like to see the back, I'm guessing it's a bolt-on neck?
Couldn't go wrong for $4. Strings costs more than that. Heck, couldn't even buy a pack of smoke for that anymore.
here's where the real fun begins
That's great. Period.
What a beautiful guitar. Great find.
My favorite of theirs is the Flying V/Tele. Makes me smile.
Being a fan of both Roy Buchanan and Fugazi I kinda want one.
That's an SG posing as a Tele. But it's still a cool looking guitar. And for $4.00, you could afford to smash it on stage if you like. I did that once with a genuine Sears Silvertone Dan Electro I found at a garage sale for $5.00. It was fun. Too bad it would've been worth something today, but not in 1968.
"We have a winner!"
Steve, these guitars are top notch, selling in the two to three thousand dollar range.
but like they say about unattractive mutts, its so ugly it's cute
No offense, King Dick, but I liked the thread. Tongue in cheek is always nicer than foot in mouth...
This was the first guitar to be gene edited in utero in China. That is a fact.
I'm considering pretending not to have read the thread and writing it's a great score for $4 and it must be worth at least 100, or I could instead tell you it's worth thousands and what an amazing deal you've made. Tough decisions.
I guess I'm the only one who thinks he was kidding about the $4-talked-down-from-$5 part too.
nevermind. something just didn't seem right about it so i sold it to my local pawn shop for $6. still not a bad profit for a days work : )
