I went there a long long time ago... my china cabinet, table and some other furniture were all bought from a local craftsman in Wartrace.... I have happy memories of that day (finding that guy's house... a little tiny sign out front that said 'homemade furniture') so, we drove down the drive (a long way) and man... what a treat.

I believe I'd like to own a Gallagher some day. I truly enjoyed living in Sewanee.

Cool. They stopped producing my G-45 ages ago. Still a great guitar, I think I got it in 1985...?

I have a 196X G-45 12 fret slothead built the sand year as Doc Watson’s G-50 and Grandpa Jones’ GC-70 14 fret solidhead 000 (sort of). I have played both of those. Great guitars. My G-45 is as good as them. A regular lap piano.

I visited the new shop in very early March. Many of the old fixtures made the journey from Wartrace to Murphesboro. I remembered them from my first trip ti Wartrace in 78-79

There is a book about the history of the Gallagher guitar. A photo I took of J W Gallagher showing off a G-75 he had just completed made it into the book. It made me proud. I think Don Gallagher still has copies for sale. You can track him down on Facebook.

Here is G-70 #477. I refretted it back in May. There is a thread atriums here with the details.
