Gain Pot & Toggle to control Cathode Bypass

    Please help me wire the planned cathode bypass (25uf/1.5kohm on V1) so it can be controlled through the gain system and get rid of the crappy distortion currently in place. Image and schematic below:

    If I understand, you want to do something like this - RobRob Gain Boost - using the overdrive switch on your amp? Should be doable.

    Yes, thank you. Exactly what I would like to do. Can you give me some idea on how to wire it so that the capacitor is activated by that switch. It's setup to control components on the board and I simply want to connect to one capacitor.

    I'm afraid I'm not familiar with your particular amp. Can you read schematics? If you're able to read the snip that I posted above, and trace out your amp's circuit board, then you can see what needs to be done.
