Congrats on your new guitar. I have never seen or even heard of one like this. I have 3 G&L guitars. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. G&L is a great company making high quality instruments for the price. And as someone indicated, the need a better web site and better marketing strategy if they want to grow (and they may not want to)

I have that exact same one and love it. I have "better" guitars, but this is my go to. The Tributes have got to be one of the best values out there (if you don't mind doing a setup and maybe a bit of fret work).
If I remember correctly - that particular model had a mahogany body and the later ones (when they had rosewood fingerboard models too) were poplar. The bridge pup split is surprisingly good and has little volume drop. The only thing that needs upgrading are the pots. They're rather cheap and the push/pull Vol just pulled off one day. When I replaced them, I put in a push/pull tone (down- normal treb cut, up- bass cut) making it even more versatile.
