I custom ordered it about three months ago.
Clear Red over Swamp Ash, wood binding, quartersawn neck, Classic C plus neck profile w/9.5” radius.
The nut width on this guitar is
    1 11/16ths with 1 5/8th string spacing.
Feels very similar to the modern classic neck profile.
She was set up with a very low action, I raised it to 4 64ths across the fret closest to the body. .10 relief around the 8th fret.
She plays great and just an absolute beast through a dimed Swart.
What a beautiful guitar that I thought I’d share with you guys.

The headstock got a logo delete which was an “oops” on their part. My only qualm with the guitar.
I called and they offered to take the guitar back and include it. Just a little sanding and respray.
My first thought was it got removed for political correctness but to my relief that was not true. I’m thinking about it, but I don’t know if I want to send her back to California, I might have to.
She weighs between 7.5 to 8 pounds when I take her on the bathroom scale with me.

    Comanche baby!

Leave her as she is. Sometimes it's just meant to be..... She's lovely.

Don’t send it back, it’s one of a kind with that abbreviated logo.

And that is certainly a beauty.

One of my favorite players uses one of these (Jake Cinninger, Umphrey's McGee). Such a cool guitar, love the binding and finish, and the Z-coils just look the business.

I've read more about the Comanche than any other tribe, and never quite understood the reason for the model name, but I'm sure someone here knows. Looks great without the name to me.

    Congrats!

I have the same binding on my ruby red metallic Legacy. Looks great with that finish, too!

Congrats! That is one sweet axe. I love G&L guitars. I have those Z coils in my asat Z-3. Fantastic!

Beautiful. Always wondered what the Z coils really sound like.

If you get this exact one back with the correct logo I would say do it. If it was mine I sure would. That is one awesome Comanche! Great specs you chose also.

That is the best Comanche I have ever seen. Nice choice!

It couldn’t look any better. I’ve always wanted to try one, but the only time I’ve seen one in the store, I had money or a credit card with me, so it wouldn’t have been safe to do so.

    Very nice indeed.
I’m another Umphrey’s McGee fan so I’ve seen Jake Cinniger playing a few G&Ls including Comanches. I think the hardtail was a good decision, that Saddle Lock bridge is an excellent design imho.
When I’m browsing the Internet Of Guitars I often end up on the G&L site speculating about custom G&L options... sometimes an ASAT Z3 (with the 3 Z-coils) is what tempts me, but that hardtail Comanche is making me very interested...

That's beautiful. Nice choice. And it's OK to take your guitar to the bathroom but keep it out of the shower.

Awesome guitar, and a hard tail is the way to go with a Comanche, in my opinion.

You can just send them the neck back. That will be cheaper to ship, and less likely to get damaged. You do indeed want to have it done, because otherwise, the custom build specifications sheet will not match the guitar, which will be an issue in the future.

That is nice!! I am a big fan of G&Ls. I don’t have any problem having Comanche written on the head stock but I kinda dig the logo delete. One of my Asats is that way and it has grown on me. Enjoy!
