    Hi all

Ive just ordered a SD Jerry Donahue for the bridge of my bluesboy. The stock neck humbucker will need to go as well as its to dark and muddy. I have a Gibson Burstbucker laying around so I’m wondering if this might work...
Anyone put a Burstbucker in the neck of a Tele type guitar and had success balancing it with a single coil?
Also, Can Seymour Duncan and Gibson pickups be mixed without experiencing phase issues?
I’m planning on using 500k pots with a resistor so the bridge sees 250k

Will they fit? I wasn't sure you could swap out G&L pups for Fender specced ones.

Hmmm can’t see why they wouldn’t fit? Seems quite of few people have put the SD JD in bluesboys

To match a neck humbucker with a single coil bridge is alway a PIA. First of all, low wound humbuckers with a3 magnet is an answer. Or Artie's De-mud mod helps with A5 humbuckers. David from Zhangbucker winds special wound humbuckers for Tele neck position.

ASAT Classic pickups are generally the same size as Fender pickups. Now the ASAT Specials have the large MFDs which are a unique size.

Blues Boy Tribute with "Jerry Donahue" bridge and "Seth Lover" neck. No solder electronics with selectable cap values.

Note: The Blues Boy Tributes ground wiring is the reverse of most others so the Jerry Donahue won't work with the stock humbucker without addressing that issue. My advice is to save yourself the hassle and replace both at the same time.

I would go for the Seth lover if $$$ wasn’t an issue. No sign of any used ones here in Oz

I would go with a P90 in a humbucker size for the neck

I paired a DiMarzio DP240 mini-humbucker with a Donahue bridge and they seem to match up quite well.
