I've got a trade offer for one of the recent MF sparkle blue ASAT guitars. Are the necks on these swappable with a Fender neck? I understand they have small necks and I just can't deal with that headstock, but I've got a brand new 50s Classic neck arriving today and if they can be swapped I may consider it. This one.

No. They are too different. For example, G&L necks have 22 frets and no overhang, while nearly all 22 fret Fender necks hanve an overhang. I think there are other differences, too, and this is a common beef with G&L guitars -- the inability to swap necks with Fenders.

Nevermind, a little more googling tells me they're not compatible.

As a bonus follow up question:
What Fender body does this genuine Fender neck fit?

    Nice try but nope.
    Here's a clue, it's from the '90s.

HM Strat? They had 24-fret necks with a 25.1" scale.

    Winner!

I got it as a bare neck, and it might fit one of the Charvel Dinky bodies, but there's not much I can do with it. A bit wider at the heel also.
Really nice neck though, and almost appears to be NOS.
