Sounds very 60s garage...i love that stuff
Noise is good...blows away cobwebs...and stops pigeons nesting in my roof
the slitting speakers thing- you hear that a lot about Link Wray as well
another great noise merchant
My favorite overall guitarist
i read or heard somewhere that they tried to ban Rumble on the guitar sound...too raunchy..
miserable bloody lot.
Link was the guy that started it all...crank it up and get them valves in that amp sizzlin...if that doest do it batter the tom tit out of speaker..yup thatll do it!
had an amp yrs ago with a raggy speaker...holes in it..torn cone the lot...great thing and wish i still had it...nothing else ive since used came close to that fizzy growl it gave out
Yes. The only instrumental ever banned
daft when you look back...but theres nothing like getting banned to boost popularity...no such thing as bad press
mind you...im not in a hurry to get the sword out and attack my speakers with it....if someone chucks an old amp in the alley though....it does happen here
another noisy git...great innit
last band of mine we covered this and more of it....surf/rock n roll/psychobilly /punk band...it was fun...noisy fun
always had em dancing..we used to make them put the chairs away at our resident gigs
only seats were half dozen bar stools...people that cant sit tend to dance more
a couple more we covered...used to soak myself in what looked like blood and go mad...dripping red and looking like a madman...red food dye ketchup and corn syrup...looked convincing enough in the dark with strobes and lights going...bugger to wash off though
used cherryburst gretsch solid body...didnt show up so much...
Touch of overdrive ... a bit of fuzz .... no, just can't make up my mind
But so good ....
Dick Dale autographed my Gretsch, while groping my date and informing me that the Fender Stratocaster was the ultimate guitar.
sound about right...by all accounts he was A/H from what i read
that gretsch is a babe though...feedback city...
after your experience with "Dick"...i would have rubbed his name off it for spite....telling him it was worth sh 1 t...but thats me...no time for a self absorbed tit..no matter how famous or great he thinks he is....if he had groped my Victoria he would be needing a dustpan and brush for his teeth fragments
as for his stratocaster...its modded to the far end of a fart...the only semblance between his guitar and a strat is the shape...he just reckons he fettled the design for Leo...more B/S more than likely...DD liked to create his own myth...his backstory was as flexible as rubber necked guitar
north east england...we have ways of dealing with idiots...mic stands do more than just hold mics.(used to good effect against violent hecklers...we get that a lot up here)..birdgropers usually get a ride in a St. Johns taxi (ambulance)
i know im waffling..one springs to mind...heckler...getting nowhere ..tried to hit on Victoria...she pointed at the crazy madman with a gretsch screaming psychobilly music covered in "blood"...he left...very quickly
That's what an Elpico looks like. Paul McCartney had one too, back in the Hamburg days. It's rumored he used it on the solo in "Fixing A Hole"
What a sweet looking amp
ive seen old pics of the Beatles with one of those..always wondered what it was
Brilliant...Thee just killed 2 birds wi one clemmy there for me
Another fuzz in the guitar like the first video. Gives me a lot of satisfaction. haha get it?
