I"ve listened to this 6 or 7 times now... gonna have to steal some licks of course. What I like is the fingers "pounding" on the guitar top at the VERY end of the piece... adds soo much realism to this. This ranks up there with me as one of the best guitar overdub on a backing track I've heard in quite a while. I'm just giddy with a so-so track, elevated so much with just a single guitar on top...and it aint even electric!...oh the shame! I'm totally shocked you left out the South American cowbell and finger cymbals though... next time...eh?Yeah, I agree with mixmkr 2023, raelly nice mix here, and the guitar playing is sweet!
OK>>>this is basically a multicam test. I bought a bunch of different webcams, half trying to see if there was much difference (which there really isn't)...but for $25 on Ebay, you can get some nice 1920x1280HD at 60fps cameras. Logitech and others. After figuring out how not to overload a USB channel port on my computer, I then figured out using the "Source Record" plugin in OBS video capture software (good for streaming too). This allows each camera to create its own separate video file. Then into Vegas, using the "multicam editing" tool... you can play back in real time and switch (either with the mouse, keyboard or a controller) which take you want to use...all while watching the "finished" edits in a 2nd monitor. Of course you can go back and tweak...but I haven't really figured that out yet to its' full extent. This lighting is so-so and other issues (16:9 format)...among other things...but not so concerned yet. I only used 3 cameras to start off with.... But this has really strong potential. Of course it's a live take, recording into my Presonus Studio One at the same time. But ALL this is unedited, except for the multicam switching....and excuse me for going nut-so with all the camera angle switching... just experimenting. Anywayz...this seemed like a good track, I knew the music (LOL) and was a nice short ditty to experiment with. I've got less than $100 in 4 used webcams, (used 3 in this video). I had the video and audio software already and OBS is free. This setup is hard to beat. So much to tweak though. I can easily see how this becomes full time. Technology is good. We are fortunate as musicians nowadays with what we can have in our home studios.
But.... here's the track....
