I've been walking a lot- especially where I live is pretty.

I've been wanting to start running, as this area has a lot of nice parks and everything.
As far as pure fun in this area , I'm pretty simple just fine music and exercise and friends.

Austin has always been a young, fun place to live.
    It still is.

Rochester, NY? I always have a great time there. Y’all have one of my very favorite tiny music venues in the entire country. The Abilene. Danny runs a GREAT little room. You’ve also got the House of Guitars. Which is amazing. And Bopshop Records is crazy! If they don’t have it, you don’t need it. And you can hang out there all day BS’ing and listening to stuff.

    Dinosaur BBQ doesn’t suck, either.

I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad time in Rochester...

Now Rochester, MN... that’s a little slower pace. But I still had a good time!

I guess growing up in a place tends to diminish its glory a bit, eh?

I'm across the river from the HoG. I pop in there on a regular basis when the doors are open. It's been about two months under lock and key though, so I haven't been to any shops period.

Lots of good eats here. I only just had Dinosaur for the first time a couple year ago. Nick Tahou's garbage plates are legendary.

I'm trying to get back into biking now after a ten year hiatus. We've got trails all up the Genesee that I'll have to work myself up to.

I also suppose that growing up in the sticks on the eastern outskirts makes living in the suburbs now somewhat mundane. It's a whole lot easier to stay busy and entertained when you're a kid surrounded by apple orchards than as an adult with only other crotchety neighbors. Lol.

No fun in my little suburb yet. I went to grade school for a while in the midway area in St Paul. My brother lives there these days. There isn't much that has been left untouched.
Also, I just heard my nephew has been called up for duty with the Guard. He's headed to Minneapolis. No fun.

My oldest brother is in St. Paul. We visited him the last winter for a couple days. Popped into the Mall of America for few. That's...overwhelming? Then caught a Pedro the Lion mini show afterward in Minneapolis.

Ft Worth has the world famous Stockyards on the North side.....Billy Bob's Texas, longhorn cattle drives, clubs and bars, the White Elephant Saloon where Butch and Sundance hung out, and a BUNCH of other attractions.......I grew up in Ft Worth, and didn't even know the Northside existed until I was in my mid-thirties.

Other than Jeep rides with the girlfriend we are still camping at home. She goes out running sometimes at the beach. Me, I'll wash the Jeep.

Me too! I can't go without hitting Dinosaur BBQ! I bought my first year 1931 Kay parlor acoustic at House of Guitars. I bought the Fiesta Red Tele in my avatar at another shop in Rochester. Also you have to hit up Savoias bakery for some tasty Italian goods. A stroll through Wegman's for some goods and then head to the shore to yell at Canadians!

I just went to a notorious hardware store.

If that’s how people are going to act when they’re trying to get something done, I don’t wanna be anywhere near anybody when they’re trying to have fun.

I wanted to bring some angst into my town.
But they wouldn't have anything to do with it.

So I went back to cutting coupons.
