So as always curiosity got to me, so I decided on some minor modifications on my Squire CV 50’s Telecaster.

Ive replaced the bridge barrels for some fender brass ones. I’m quite happy with the subtle change in tone.

Next, I tried a heavier gauge of strings. As when I was younger I played with 11s or 12s. This in reality didn’t do too much. I’ll prolly change back to 10s when I do my next string change.

And finally, it got a fender bridge cover. Just so I can the complete unit.

It interestingly does change the tone for the bridge pickup. But not been able to palm mute is not a good exchange for the improved tone on the bridge.

Where to next. I have no idea. Maybe a bakerlight pick guard.

so many things so little time.
