I picked up an old GT-500 on eBay a while back and was running it daisy chained with 9volt. I have a new power supply now and want to know if it's worth running it at 12v or 18v or just staying with the standard 9volt? Not the most exciting question but interested to hear opinions.

More headroom/volume at higher voltages and more compression/crunch at lower voltages. It depends on what you need from the pedal. Personally, I never needed a dirt pedal to do more than give me dirt, so I never see a need to run higher voltages. Although, you may want to experiment with it if you stack your gain stages with other pedals.
