As I am sure you all know, the Fulltone 70 has made a return, but I heard from a guy in my local store that the 69 is coming back too. Anyone else heard anything?

I hope that will bring their price down. I saw a octafuzz and a 70 yesterday for under 100 bucks, but I don't know enough about the 2 to pick them up.

Been a ton of buzz about it over on the TGP. I believe the Mad Ape says they're shipping soon.

I had one of the big box '70 pedals. It was a great silicon Fuzz Face. Just not what I wanted at the time. I wanted a '69, but couldn't afford one. I have been in a quandary about the new one. Should i buy one without hearing them, should I wait until people are paying outrageous prices and get hosed again... I just decided I'd wait and see what happens.

Nice! I hadn't seen it on his website. Yeah I'm in the same boat. I would love to check it out. I have a sunlion from Analogman already, so I'm not sure if this will be too similar of if I might still fin d use for it.

Well, right now the only fuzz that lives on my board is a Keeley Fuzz Head.

I had an MJM London Fuzz I, but I'm lazy when it comes to batteries and it didn't sound different enough from my Keeley. So, I let it go. It sat on the bench and never made it into the big game. The new '69 has me very, very curious, but it needs to be different enough to really stay. I have wanted a 69 or Sunface for quite some time now....

I hope so... If only so those guys trying to sell them for 400 bucks on eBay have to come back to the real world!

Yeah - I heard small box but just the same.

I bought an original-run 2002 big box Sunface NKT Fuzz off of CL for nothing and loooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvved it.

Phenomenal. Germanium mind-blower.

There was so much profit in it I could not afford to keep it.

The guy I sold it to called me up a week ago and told me he just sold his Fulltone '69.

He said it sounded 2-dimensional next to the Sunface :)shock:) and he also said he knew how the new ones would drive the re-sale prices down.

Ain't that the truth. Funny thing is, if you check the completed listings on ebay, they HAVE been selling for those type of prices.

The Fulltone website has been promoting this return for a while now, can't wait for it to happen. I do like the older housing though. I've got lots of space on my board and it would look great next to the 70.

So what do people say about the 69 compared to the analogman sunface/sunlion? I personally quite like the sunlion, so I think I might bring it in to the store for a side by side test with the 69. I might get the 70 though since it has silicon transistors right?

Yes, it's coming back. Musiciansfriend.com says they'll start shipping mid-July. I don't have a fuzz pedal, as I've always wanted a Fulltone '69. But now that they're only $170, I just might have to pick one up! I do like the older case, but the new, smaller casing is cool too. Any space on my pedalboard is precious real estate.
