Good Evening: I have always loved the Frost Gold color on a Danny Gatton model Tele. Does anyone know the paint color specs and where I might get some for a new build? Thank you in advance!

I spoke with Bill at ReRanch. He suggested his Gibson Gold-Top color. Your thoughts?

They're both gold, but not really similar. for Frost Gold, I'd look for Hot Rod Paint, like a 70's chopper.

I don't know but the DG Custom shop guitar looks like a Gibson Gold Top finish. The SquierJ5 they also call Frost Gold almost looks like Shoreline Gold with pearl over the top.

Or...I could just buy the DG at Chuck Levins for $5K and forget the build:).. I love that color. Appreciate your input. Still looking!

Thanks that looks like the right color but without the metal flake. I've emailed them to see if you could leave the flake out and still get the right color. I'll report back!
