I'm thinking "finders keepers" especially if it hit me in the head.
glad no one was hurt...im beyond theatrics at a concert...shouldnt these old acts be too...all i want is you to be on stage and play the songs i came to hear...stop with the mega light show and the explosions and crap flying around over my head and other stuff that is ridiculous
It's a "rockumentary"
Get a free guitar AND win a lawsuit: awesome (if you didn't lose an eye).
My pet peeve is when the singer stops singing on your favorite song and let’s the audience sing. That’s not what I paid to see.
My other pet peeve is when they won’t just shut up and sing. Bar bands are the worst.

They would sound much better if they all threw their guitars into the audience.
I'd be running for the exit if I caught that.
While the guitar bit is silly, I like the Maiden guys. From what I understand, they are hard working, down to earth guys who worked their butts off to get to where they are.
Yeah, I wouldn't care for that kind of thing either, but I'll give 'em a pass as they play well, work hard at what they do and have the actual ability to write, play and perform their own material. No heavy or over reliance on Pro Tools, auto tune or other trickery or gimmickry. They have written some intelligent, sophisticated material on top of everything else mentioned.
If you will....
I agree that some stage antics, like guitar swinging, have probably run their course. However I don't think that mega light shows and explosions and crap flying around are ready to die just yet. In the past few years I've seen spectacular shows from the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Roger Waters and Muse that had all of those elements, and did them right. An impressive stage show that accentuates the music can really add to the experience. But if it is theatrics for the sake of theatrics, or more likely theatrics for the sake of making the rock stars feel like they look like rock stars, then it is just a bit exasperating. Guitar swinging and synchronized kicks fall in this category. In my opinion.
That was all ‘Spinal Tap’ without the involuntary guitar toss into the ear bleed seats.....
That "new" guy is the reason I can't listen to Maiden seriously anymore. I love Di'Anno era Maiden, & up to Powerslave, but the curtsy dancing & guitar trickery spins are just not metal. Never were.
Yeah, just play the music.
And then they compound the felony by releasing it on a live album. I bought "Pack Up The Plantation" to hear Tom Petty sing Breakdown, not the audience.
I grew up listening to Maiden, I don't care for that guy either.
thus movie is one of my favorite documentaries
