One of my favorite Teles developed a bad microphonic noise. The cause seemed
to be the cover on the neck pup. Figured I'd remove the cover and problem solved...HA!
Broke a coil wire going to the lead and couldn't fix it~way to short and trapped in
the windings so I couldn't unwrap a turn:(

I tried a few neck pups out of the drawer, but none really matched the bridge(Pre b-1)

Dug deeper in the parts drawer and pulled out a Duncan Donahue and an old neck pup
w/ceramic magnet. I'd gotten the neck pup in the 90's from StewMack it's 5.35K. What
a great match that turned out to be! Middle sounds good and is humbucking. Neck sounds
good w/treble pot wide open, and the Donahue in the bridge just sounds great.

It's now cleaner and clearer than before, yet still full sounding~can't wait to test it
    out in a gig setting.

You could try to rewind the pickup using the hamster's wheel but why bother when you have a magic parts drawer. Congratulations :)
