From the Apostrophe album, this has always been a favorite. Jean Luc Ponty on violin, George Duke on keyboards, Ruth Underwood on vibes. Any help with the other personnel is appreciated. There are many good Zappa clips on YT.

I think that's tom and Bruce Fowler on bone and bass Ian Underwood on sax and Ralph Humphrey on drums.

I love everything about this song, especially the album version. The double time swing at the end of every other measure in the verses. The straight time section when he hypnotizes the guru. The killer drum and vibe fills. The amazing guitar solo. The vocal harmonies.
    This is peak Zappa.

"The price of meat has just gone up... and your old lady has just gone down!" Man, I lost it first time I heard that, as I recall (and I could be off by a month or two, I was living "better through chemistry", so to speak, at the time, as were most of my friends) it came out around late summer/early fall 1973, I was in my first semester as a freshman at Penn State Ogontz...

My wife and are currently (slowly) recording a cover of this tune. I love the odd vibe/sax riffs in the verses. If it turns out ok, we will post it on SC. Very cool, classic Zappa.
