Hi Folks. I'd really like my next Tele build to be period correct - for what period, I am not sure - but I am leaning strongly towards a double bound Lake Placid Blue.

I know the (double bound) Tele Custom was introduced in '59 and then revamped in 71 (?) and that custom colors, including LPB, were available from the factory during this time for standard Tele's. But I have never seen nor heard of a factory finished Custom from that period that was anything other than the stock sunburst.

Did or would Fender have painted a custom color on a Telecaster Custom during this era? Or were you stuck with SB if you wanted a custom?

Bonus question: Were Bgsby trem's a factory option? If so, which version?

    Thank you!!!
